1999 Toyota Tacoma
Building solid and dependable trucks-that's Toyota's forte. Toyota history shows
its fruitful production of tough duty four-wheel-drive vehicles with rugged suspensions,
rigid bodies and powerful engines. Recently launched Toyota Tacoma supplements
a wide variety of pickup for buyers. Options include a PreRunner V6 XtraCab with
an engine that produces 190 horsepower and a robust 220 foot-pounds of torque
at 3,600 rpm, and a fully loaded top-of-the-line Tacoma 4x4 Xtracab V6 Limited
a luxurious truck with phenomenal off-road capability.
The Tacoma line of pickups was updated last year with fresh front styling and
more comfort and convenient features. Nothing much had been changed for this year's
model except for the seatbelts that have been upgraded with pretensioners and
force limiters for added safety. For 1999, Toyota offers a PreRunner with a regular
cab that comes with the four-cylinder engine and air conditioning. Although it
doesn't exactly ride like a luxury car, the Tacoma PreRunner also doesn't shy
from off-road hazards or heavy workloads. Furthermore, as Toyota Tacomas are known
for quality, durability, and reliability, any pickup buyer might want to consider
purchasing one.
